29 June 2024, Johannesburg – In a landmark agreement, SuperSport and the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) have announced that the SABC will broadcast the ICC T20 Men’s World Cup final and two Springbok test matches. This initiative marks a significant moment for South African sports broadcasting, ensuring broader access to some of the year’s most anticipated sporting events.

ICC T20 World Cup Final: South Africa vs. India

Today, South African cricket fans will witness history as the Proteas compete in their first senior ICC World Cup final. The highly-anticipated match against India will be held at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, starting at 16:30 SA time. The Proteas’ remarkable journey to the final was capped by a dominant nine-wicket victory over Afghanistan in the semifinals at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Trinidad and Tobago.

SuperSport will provide live coverage on SS Grandstand (DStv channel 201), SuperSport Cricket (DStv channel 212), and SuperSport Variety 4 (DStv channel 209). An hour-long special build-up will precede the match.
